First Baptist Church Stockdale's youth ministry exists to help students, 6th-12th grades, reach the next level in their spiritual walk, both in their relationships with one another and in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
We accomplish this through our Sunday morning small groups, our Wednesday night Half Time services, camps, mission trips, special events, fellowships, and service opportunities.
Sunday Mornings | Growth Groups
Every Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m. we have a growth group for our students. Growth groups are our form of small group Bible study. The youth meet upstairs in the main building. Their group is being led by Palmer & Katy Jones.
Wednesday Nights | Half Time
Every Wednesday night our students meet in the fellowship hall from 6:00-7:15 p.m. Our doors open at 5:30 p.m., so if they arrive early, students can play foosball or video games.
At 6:00 p.m. we play a game together as a group. Then we pause to eat food provided by our faithful volunteers. At 6:30 p.m. our youth minister, Palmer Jones, teaches God's Word in a way that is understandable and applicable for their day to day lives.
Disciple Now Weekend
Every spring we have Disciple Now Weekend. Disciple Now is like a mini summer camp. Students arrive on Friday night at First Baptist and spend the weekend with their friends, worshiping, serving, and being immersed in God's Word. We bring in a guest speaker and a guest band and devote the weekend to growing in our relationships with Christ.
This year's Disciple Now Weekend was in February. We had an awesome time with the band Unconditional leading us in worship along with guest speaker, Josh Humbert. Both the band and the guest speaker were at Alto Frio this past summer.

Youth Camp
Every summer our youth ministry participates in a week-long camp. This year our youth attended Alto Frio's Elevate Camp from July 17-21.
Youth camp is a great time to grow in our relationships with each other while also growing in our relationship with Christ. Plus we get to have so much fun in the process!
