First Baptist Church Stockdale's student ministry exists to help students, 6th-12th grades, reach the next level in their spiritual walk, both in their relationships with one another and in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
We accomplish this through our Sunday morning small groups, our Wednesday night Half Time services, camps, mission trips, special events, fellowships, and service opportunities.
Sunday Mornings | Growth Groups
Every Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m. we have a growth group for our students. Growth groups are our form of small group Bible study. Our students meet in the youth & children's building. They begin in one large group and then break out into small groups.
Wednesday Nights | Half Time
Every Wednesday night our students meet in the youth & children's building from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Our doors open at 5:45 p.m., so if they arrive early, students can play foosball, pool, video games, or they can just hang out!
The night is filled with food, games, worship and God's Word. Our desire is to help connect students with the Lord and with the local church. Come check us out this Wednesday!!
Disciple Now Weekend
Every spring we have Disciple Now Weekend. Disciple Now is like a mini summer camp. Students arrive on Friday night at First Baptist and spend the weekend with their friends, worshiping, serving, and being immersed in God's Word. We bring in a guest speaker and a guest band and devote the weekend to growing in our relationships with Christ.
This year's Disciple Now Weekend is February 6-8. We First Baptist Church La Vernia's worship band leading us in worship along with guest speaker, Garrett Wagoner.

Youth Camp
Every summer our youth ministry participates in a week-long camp. This year our youth will be attending youth camp at Alto Frio from July 6-10. Cost of camp will be $300 per camper.
Youth camp is a great time to grow in our relationships with each other while also growing in our relationship with Christ. Plus we get to have so much fun in the process!
