Why we give
Giving financially is one of the simplest ways we can worship and trust God with what He's given us. Your gift also allows us as a church family to fulfill the mission and ministry the Lord has given us.
Members of First Baptist Church Stockdale are encouraged to tithe in accordance with God's Word. The tithe is regular giving of a portion of one's income that supports the ongoing ministry budget of the church. The budget is established by the congregation preceding each fiscal year and is overseen by a church treasurer and a group of volunteers who are selected by the congregation. This provides several layers of accountability for the use of the Lord's money. The annual church budget is available to any member by contacting the church office.
There are several opportunities for special giving throughout the year to support specific missions or ministries that are beyond the regular budget. These include building and remodel programs, state, national, and international missions efforts, as well as, special local ministries and camps for youth and children.
