At First Baptist Church Stockdale our children (infants-5th grades) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus in creative ways applicable to them.

All of our growth groups for children meet in the youth & children's building.

Nursery

This group is for our youngest and we love having them! You can find our nursery in the youth & children's building. Enter through the main entrance. Turn left and you will see the entrance to our children's hallway. Go through the entrance. The nursery will be on your right.

Pre-K-Kinder

You can find our pre-k & kinder group in the youth & children's building. Enter through the main entrance. Turn left and you will see the entrance to our children's hallway. Go through the entrance. This group will be on your right.

1st-3rd Grades

You can find our 1st-3rd grade group in the youth & children's building. Enter through the main entrance. Turn left and you will see the entrance to our children's hallway. Go through the entrance. This group will be on your left.

4th-5th Grades

You can find our 4th-5th grade group in the youth & children's building. Enter through the main entrance. Turn left and you will see the entrance to our children's hallway. Go through the entrance. This group will be on your left.

We offer children's church during the worship service so that your children can learn a relevant Bible lesson appropriate for their age level. They begin in the service with their parents and then are released by our worship minister during the worship service. Children walk to the back of the Sanctuary where they are greeted by a children's church volunteer and they are escorted to our fellowship hall, where you can pick them up after the service.

Note: The third Sunday of each month, we do not have children's church. This gives your children a chance each month to learn how to participate in the "big church" setting, because one day they will be in there every week.

We also do not require that your children attend children's church. They are more than welcome to stay with you in the service every week.

K.P.O.W. is what we call our Wednesday night children's choir!

Your children, 4 years -5th grade are invited to join us every Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m. We begin in the sanctuary then split into smaller groups for both singing and a Bible lesson.

Your children will have an opportunity to perform the songs that they learn in children's choir before the church on a Sunday morning.

K.P.O.W. meets during the school year and takes a break each summer.

Vacation Bible School is an exciting time of learning God's Word through music, games, & Bible study. This year's VBS will be June 22-26 from 6-8:30 p.m.

VBS is for children who have completed pre-K through 5th grades. Childcare for 3 years old and younger will only be available for volunteer's children.

July 20-23, 2026 our children will attend Alto Frio in Leakey, TX. Kid's camp is for children who will complete the 3rd-5th grades. It is a time to get away from the distractions and to help children lean into God's Word and presence.
