At First Baptist Church Stockdale our children (infants-5th grades) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus in creative ways applicable to them.

Nursery | Infants-3 years

Our nursery can be found in the downstairs hallway of our main building. Your child will be both loved on and cared for in a clean and safe environment. Childcare is available for this age group during the worship hour as well.

Pre-K & K | 4 years- Kindergarten

This small group for our younger children meets from 9:45-10:45 a.m. and has fun and energetic lessons to keep your children engaged.

Lower Elementary | 1st-3rd Grades

This small group class for your lower elementary child meets upstairs in the main building. Your child can expect a Bible lesson along with fun activities to help them learn.

Upper Elementary | 4th-5th Grades (6th grade optional)

This small group class for your upper elementary child meets in a classroom in our fellowship hall. Your child can expect for the small group leader to look at God's Word and discuss it with them. Your 6th graders are welcome to attend this small group or they are welcome to attend the youth small group.

We offer children's church during the worship service so that your children can learn a relevant Bible lesson appropriate for their age level. They begin in the service with their parents and then are released by our worship minister during the worship service. Children walk to the back of the Sanctuary where they are greeted by a children's church volunteer and they are escorted to our fellowship hall, where you can pick them up after the service.

Note: The third Sunday of each month, we do not have children's church. This gives your children a chance each month to learn how to participate in the "big church" setting, because one day they will be in there every week.

We also do not require that your children attend children's church. They are more than welcome to stay with you in the service every week.

K.P.O.W. is what we call our Wednesday night children's choir!

Your children, 4 years -5th grade are invited to join us every Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m. We begin in the sanctuary then split into smaller groups for both singing and a Bible lesson.

Your children will have an opportunity to perform the songs that they learn in children's choir before the church on a Sunday morning.

K.P.O.W. meets during the school year and takes a break each summer.

Vacation Bible School is an exciting time of learning God's Word through music, games, & Bible study. This year's VBS will be June 24-28 from 6-8:30 p.m. Check back later for a pre-registration link.

VBS is for children who have completed pre-K through 5th grades. Childcare for 3 years old and younger will only be available for volunteer's children.

July 22-25, 2024 our children will be attending Alto Frio in Leakey, TX. Kid's camp is for children who will complete the 3rd-5th grades. It is a time to get away from the distractions and to help children lean into God's Word and presence.
